Dr Richard Dune

Over the past 25 years, Dr Richard Dune has worked in clinical practice, research, and digital transformation. Following a career as a cardiology nurse practitioner, he transitioned into clinical research, working on joint projects between NHS trusts, pharmaceutical companies and universities to set up and manage large-scale clinical trials. Dedicated to improving the adoption and integration of innovations in health and care systems, Richard completed a PhD on the diffusion of healthcare innovations, with a focus on ensuring effective implementation and evaluation. In 2014, he founded LearnPac Systems, which has become a leading UK provider of governance, compliance, and workforce development solutions for the health and care sector. Under his leadership, the company developed ComplyPlus™, an integrated regulatory compliance management platform that supports organisations in meeting regulatory standards and embedding innovation at scale. Key clients include the NHS trusts, primary care providers, local authorities, adult social care providers, schools and early years providers. At the Innovation Ecosystems Laboratory, Richard contributes his expertise in bridging clinical insight, policy, and digital transformation, with a focus on making healthcare innovation more accessible, sustainable, and impactful for diverse populations.
