Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults – Who is a vulnerable adult?

•         A person aged 18 years or over who is, or may be:

•         In need of community care services because they have a mental or other disability, age or illness’elderly care

•         Unable to take care of him or herself

•         Unable to protect him or herself from harm or exploitation

…but, just because someone has a disability or is older does not mean that they cannot take care of themselves!
